1、內容提要根據馬克思主義的觀點，科學的發(fā)生和發(fā)展是由社會需要決定的，同時它又受哲學思想的影響。數學作為一門科學也能不例外。中國古代數學與外國古代數學都是在古代人類生產、生活的社會需要中產生和發(fā)展起來的，這是它們的共性。但是，數學的產生和發(fā)展又是通過數學家個人實現的，這就不能不受到不同地域或時代的哲學思想影響，形成具有民族或時代特點的數學。我國古代傳統(tǒng)數學的算法特點與古代希臘數學的演繹特點就是在不同地域的哲學背景下產生的。那么長期影響我國思

2、想界的儒家思想與我國傳統(tǒng)數學的特點有什么關系呢對這個重要問題，尚未見學界做過系統(tǒng)研究。本文試圖對這一重要問題做一些初步探討。我國歷史悠久，數學典籍浩瀚。本文難以從整個歷史的角度系統(tǒng)地探討儒家思想與中國傳統(tǒng)數學的關系，僅以《九章算術》作為中國傳統(tǒng)數學的代表作，研究儒家思想對中國傳統(tǒng)數學的影響。同時，所謂特點是相比較而言的。所以，本文又以古希臘的歐幾里得《幾何原本》作為參照物，比較二者的不同特點，并且具體論述如下問題:中國傳統(tǒng)數學特點的思想

3、根源為什么中國傳統(tǒng)數學未能發(fā)展出演繹系統(tǒng)的原因批判對中國傳統(tǒng)數學的一些錯誤觀點說明中日的哲學、數學交流的一些啟示指出中國傳統(tǒng)數學的算法和美學觀點在現代數學中的方法論意義。以上問題通過以下五章展開具體論述。第一章中國傳統(tǒng)數學與古希臘數學的比較通過分析比較《九章算術》與《幾何原本》在內容、結構、思想方法方面的異同說明中國傳統(tǒng)數學的特點:以實用為目的的實用性和以算法為中心的計算性。第二章儒家思想對中國傳統(tǒng)數學的影響儒家思想具有整體性、經典性、

4、實用理性的思維特點。通過展示這些特點在中國傳統(tǒng)數學的具體體現，說明儒家思想對中國傳統(tǒng)數學的影響，以致形成傳統(tǒng)數學的特點。第三章儒家思想抑制邏輯思想在中國古代，墨家發(fā)展出邏輯思想，并應用于數學研究，為傳統(tǒng)數學的感性直觀上升為理性的演繹作了準備。劉徽受墨家邏輯思想的影響，試圖在這方面作些嘗試性工作。但因他深受儒家思想的束縛，只是在《九章算術》的框架內，作“術”、“注’，，特別是未能把“注”的說理發(fā)展到演繹論證。同時，在儒家思想影響下所形成的
