1、教師提問的研究在國內(nèi)外都比較熱。國內(nèi)起步相對較晚，90年代末才有針對大學(xué)英語教師的課堂提問進行的實證研究。這些國內(nèi)外關(guān)于教師課堂提問的研究主要關(guān)注的是大學(xué)以及小學(xué)教師課堂提問的行為。但是，針對高中英語教師課堂提問所作的研究較少。
本文以輸入假設(shè)和社會建構(gòu)主義模式為理論基礎(chǔ)，以英語課堂提問為研究視角，通過課堂觀察和訪談研究高中英語實習(xí)教師和有經(jīng)驗教師在提問方面的特點并進行比較分析。本文研究對象是湖南大學(xué)附屬中學(xué)4位高中英語教師，
2、其中兩位是實習(xí)老師，兩位是優(yōu)秀的有較長教齡的英語老師。研究者作為實習(xí)老師參與聽課。共聽課18節(jié)，聽課的整個過程都進行了錄音并進行文字記載。從提問類型、提問策略、等候時間和反饋方式四方面分析每位老師的提問，從而總結(jié)四位教師的課堂提問行為并進行分析比較。發(fā)現(xiàn)如下：
(1)在問題類型方面，高中英語實習(xí)教師和有經(jīng)驗教師都偏好展示型問題，參照性問題提得較少。
(2)在提問策略方面，實習(xí)教師和有經(jīng)驗教師都偏好使用轉(zhuǎn)向提問、重復(fù)以
3、及翻譯策略，而在對追問策略的運用上，有經(jīng)驗教師能更好地進行靈活運用，從而啟發(fā)學(xué)生的思維。
(3)在等待時間方面，有經(jīng)驗教師給出的等待時間較長于實習(xí)教師。其中，兩位優(yōu)秀的有經(jīng)驗教師給出的平均等待時間長于3秒鐘，給學(xué)生留有充分時間思考并進行回答。這與之前做課堂提問研究的學(xué)者推薦的等待時間3-5秒相符。但兩位實習(xí)教師給出的等待時間約為一秒鐘，學(xué)生思考時間不足。
(4)在反饋方式方面，實習(xí)教師和有經(jīng)驗教師都提供更多的積極反饋
